EAST SEPIK PROVINCE

One of the most diverse part of  Papua New Guinea is found in the northern part of the country which is known as the Province of many languages and cultures, East Sepik Province, and is one of the places that have different types and characteristics of people living there .
 Its capital is Wewak. East Sepik has an estimated population of 343,180 people (2000 census) and is roughly 42,800 km square in size.

THE SEPIK RIVER

The Mighty Sepik River is one of the biggest river stytem in Papua New Guinea and it is found  in East Sepik Province.The sepik river when seen above from the air, it is like a gaint snake sleeping. The River system is the main way in which all the peple living along ,uses for ,transportation, to their gradens,houses,to look for food and they use the main river for drinking ,wash, etc...

CARVINGS

In East Sepik Province , the most creative and beautiful carvings are produced within the area. The people themselves are the master minds in carving a simple wood into a beautiful carving. The carvings are part of     the tourism activities in the East Sepik Province and the country.
